In full compliance with NFPA-72 and NFPA-1221 the SureCall Guardian3 QR is fully supported by the DASalert Model 1221-B independent Public Safety DAS Annunciator Panel. This panel provides first responders instant situational awareness of in-building public safety DAS status including outdoor Donor Antenna, Primary AC Power, Amplifier status, Backup Battery Capacity and Charger status.
Per code, the DASalert panel is completely independent with internal 24-hour backup battery, high brightness LED annunciators and a UL Listed NEMA-4 enclosure. The panel easily connects with SureCall Guardian3 QR, the backup power unit, and the building’s fire panel or other monitoring equipment. All interface connections are supervised loops, ensuring 100% communications integrity (CI). DASalert is available in three versions:
120 VAC, 24 VDC or 48 VDC.
The 10” x 8” x 4” unit easily wall mounts in any fire command center while the DAS equipment can be located elsewhere in the structure.
SureCall Guardian3 QR has a max gain of 80 dB on the public safety bands, and output power up to 26 dBm. This amplifier improves coverage up to 80,000 square feet for all public safety bands including 700 MHz (FirstNet Ready), 800 MHz, and 900 MHz SMR and can support 100+ simultaneous users per band. Housed in a NEMA-4 enclosure, the amplifier is equipped with Ethernet to enable remote monitoring. Connector ports interface with the DASalert panel and a UPS. This amplifier has powering options of 120 VAC or DC 16-24V. Gain can be independently adjusted for both the uplink and downlink in each band in 1 dB increments.
In most municipalities, newly constructed buildings with an area of at least 50,000 square feet are required to have a signal strength of -95 dBm or better in designated critical areas – elevators, stairwells, etc., to receive a Certificate of Occupancy. The SureCall Guardian3 QR amplifier combined with the DASalert panel can accommodate all NFPA requirements.
