Code Requirements
–
The current edition of the NFPA-1221 fire code and several previous editions including NFPA-72 and the International Fire Code (IFC) describe the requirements for monitoring the performance of Public Safety in-building two-way radio emergency responder radio coverage system with a dedicated Annunciator. This component is required to be located in the fire command center. Some jurisdictions, however, require that it be located in the same room as the DAS head end.
–The DASalert Model 1221 DAS Annunciator Panel is designed to meet these requirements and contains independent circuitry to monitor the various components of the emergency responder radio coverage system.
